The design of this open top holster allows for an instant shooters grip. The J.I.T. Slide has an open muzzle, which will accommodate different barrel lengths of the same gun model or similar frame size. I have two of these holsters. One in brown for a Taurus PT111, and one in black for a S&W 457. They are excellent holsters. They hold the weapon securely, and high and tight against the body. Also, very inexpensive, but a great holster at any price.
I've been thru 6 holsters before I found the this. This is the best one I've tried, rides nice and high, secure hold on the pistol yet has a smooth draw. My search is over. Save yourself the trouble and just get this one first.
Since retiring from the Army I've gained a few pounds and holsters I used to use just didn't seem to fit well. This one holds my Sig Elite close and vertical for comfort and concealability. I love it!
