The unique design permits the detailed molding to go to the front side, keeping the back flat.  The overlay keeps the mouth of the holster open and adds a pleasing look to the holster.  The belt loop at each end wrap around the belt for convenience, easy on, easy off.  The open top with detailed molding will hold the gun in place until the need to draw.
